With just weeks until the much-anticipated event, the Austin Food & Wine Festival is gearing up for an unforgettable weekend of culinary delights, wine tastings, and engaging food experiences. Set to take place from November 1-3, 2024, at Auditorium Shores in Austin, Texas, the festival has officially announced its dynamic schedule. Food lovers can look forward to exciting programming, including chef demos, tasting sessions, Fire Pit experiences, and more.

Highlights of the 2024 Schedule
Chef Demos:
This year’s festival features live cooking demonstrations from some of the country’s top culinary talents. Attendees can look forward to learning from award-winning chefs such as Ashleigh Shanti of Good Hot Fish and Kevin Gillespie of Nadair, both of whom were recently highlighted on The New York Times’ 2024 Best Restaurants list. Other demos will showcase beloved chefs like Amanda Turner of Olamaie and Antonia Lofaso of Scopa Italian Roots.
Fire Pit:
The Fire Pit programming will offer the chance to sample dishes cooked over an open flame by renowned pitmasters and chefs. Attendees can savor mouthwatering BBQ and other flame-cooked creations while chatting with the culinary experts behind the grills. Texas favorites like Levi Goode and Nicola Blaque will be lighting up the pit on November 2 and 3.
Chef Showcase:
The festival’s main event, the Chef Showcase, promises an extraordinary display of Texas’ best culinary talent. Featured chefs will prepare and serve signature dishes throughout the weekend. Keep an eye out for the full list of participating chefs to be announced soon.
Tasting Sessions:
From master sommeliers to leading mixologists, festivalgoers will have the chance to enjoy carefully curated tasting sessions. One must-see event is Anthony Giglio’s session on Saturday, Nov. 2, exploring old-world vs. new-world wine styles. On Sunday, Nov. 3, chef Brian Morris of Hattie B’s Hot Chicken will lead a tasting combining Nashville hot chicken with Tennessee whiskey for a unique pairing experience.
Meet the Maker:
Attendees can meet top winemakers, spirits producers, and sommeliers at the Meet the Maker tent. These intimate sessions will offer behind-the-scenes insights and tasting opportunities. Wine lovers won’t want to miss Anthony Giglio’s old-world vs. new-world wine smackdown on Saturday, or the Sunday session with Thibaut Marquis, taking festivalgoers on a “Tour of Burgundy.”
