When you’re on the lookout for deals on Sage coffee machines, remember that pricing around sales events like Black Friday can be quite volatile, with retailers lowering their prices to stay in line with competitors. This means it’s always worth shopping around before you settle on a deal.

Another important factor to consider is which retailer is listing the deal. We advise that you only buy from retailers that you recognise and trust. Remember, if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Sage coffee machine Black Friday deals 2024

Sage the Oracle Touch

Sage the Oracle Touch with badge

Best blow-out Sage coffee machine

Star rating: 5/5

Machine type: bean-to-cup

With an RRP of over £2,000, this is one of the priciest machines in Sage’s range, so it’s great to find a deal on it. As the name might suggest, the Oracle Touch features a digital touchscreen, as well as elements that make it easier to use – like a water tank that can be filled from the front of the machine.

It offers a good level of automation and we found the auto-dosing and tamping function user-friendly, removing all the guesswork if you’re a beginner.

Sage the Barista Express Impress

Sage the Barista Express Impress with badge

Best bean-to-cup for automatic tamping

Star rating: 5/5

Machine type: bean-to-cup

This bean-to-cup coffee machine is more compact than many of Sage’s other offerings, with a balance of some automation like the dosing and tamping and some manual features, like for milk frothing.

The interface of dials and buttons contributes to an impressive aesthetic, and once we found the right grind size for our beans from the 25 grind settings, we were impressed by the espresso the machine produced – thick, with a rich aroma.

Sage the Barista Express

Sage the Barista Express with badge

Best affordable Sage bean-to-cup machine

Star rating: 4.5/5

Machine type: bean-to-cup

Similar to the Barista Express Impress, this machine is broadly manual rather than automatic for the dosing, tamping and milk frothing. This means you need a level of confidence to achieve the perfect coffee and it’s a good way to practise your barista skills. It’s also on the more affordable end of Sage’s bean-to-cup machines, and even more so with a deal attached.

Sage the Barista Touch

Sage the Barista Touch

Best touchscreen Sage bean-to-cup coffee machine

Star rating: 4.5/5

Machine type: bean-to-cup

The Barista Touch has a touchscreen, which makes it easy to select your drink and make the most of automatic and manual functions. The main difference between this machine and the Barista Touch Impress is that this model doesn’t have automatic tamping, although there is a dosing funnel, which we found helps reduce messiness when grinding.

In terms of price, this model sits in the middle of Sage’s bean-to-cup range, so to see it available for under £1,000 is a rarity.

Sage the Bambino Plus

Sage The Bambino Plus SES500BSS espresso machine

Best compact Sage espresso machine

Star rating: 4.5/5

Machine type: espresso

For this espresso machine, you’ll need a separate coffee grinder for your beans. This machine has a compact footprint, but we like that the drip tray is still wide enough to fit a coffee mug and milk jug side by side.

On test, we were impressed by the espresso produced – it had a thick, rich crema and well balanced flavour. There’s also an automatic steam wand, so you can make a wide range of drinks.

Sage the Dual Boiler

Sage the Dual Boiler with olive accreditation badge

Best blowout Sage espresso machine

Star rating: 4.5/5

Machine type: espresso

When the Dual Boiler first launched, it was the hero product in Sage’s range and still lives up to that title. It’s a large and weighty machine, similar in size to some of the priciest bean-to-cup models.

There’s no getting around the fact that you need to know what you’re doing to get the most out of this machine. All the elements require manual involvement, from dosing and tamping to brewing and milk frothing. After playing around with grind size and extraction time, our final espresso was strong, with a thick crema and pleasant aroma.

Sage the Vertuo Creatista Nespresso

Best Sage coffee machines 2024 UK

Best for Nespresso Vertuo pods

Star rating: 4.5/5

Machine type: pod

The Vertuo Creatista machine, created in collaboration with Nespresso, uses Vertuo pods – offering a wider range of drink sizes than conventional coffee pods. On test, the machine produced a rich, dark espresso with a thick, bubbly crema. The steam wand is automatic and can be programmed for different microfoam textures. We liked that there is a choice of five drink sizes, from a 40ml espresso up to a 535ml carafe, making this fairly versatile for a coffee pod machine.

Sage the Oracle

Sage the Oracle with olive accreditation badge

Best built-in coffee grinder

Star rating: 4/5

Machine type: bean-to-cup

To make the most of this coffee machine, you’ll need lots of countertop real estate to play with. The machine weighs nearly 20kg with a large footprint to match, reminding us of a machine you might find in your local coffee shop.

This bean-to-cup machine combines manual and automatic features. It has automatic grinding, dosing and tamping (just pick from an impressive 45 grind settings), but the brewing is manual, with a choice of single espresso, double espresso or long black. You can use the milk steaming wand manually or programme it for your preferred texture.

Sage the Barista Pro

Sage the Barista Pro

Best mid-range Sage bean-to-cup coffee machine

Star rating: 4/5

Machine type: bean-to-cup

If a bean-to-cup machine is a priority for your kitchen, but you’re looking for a lower price point with less automation, the Barista Pro would be a great choice. The integrated grinder has a comprehensive 30 settings and the digital screen clearly displays your chosen grind size. You can choose either to grind by time (the default is 15 seconds) or manually, before using the included tamper and razor. The built-in manual steam wand means a host of drinks options are available, and we found it user-friendly on test.

Sage Creatista Pro

Sage Creatista Pro with olive accreditation badge

Best for quick coffee

Star rating: 4/5

Machine type: pod

The Creatista Pro is a brilliant machine if you want to make coffee at home every morning, but you’re always running late. This model brews coffee and froths milk simultaneously, whereas with most models you need to insert a pod to brew the coffee first, then move on to frothing the milk. There’s also an intuitive touchscreen, plus an adjustable drip tray and automatic steaming wand.

Does Sage do Black Friday?

The short answer is yes, Sage does have Black Friday deals. The brand has some big deals live already, especially on older models and coffee pod machines, which it makes in conjunction with Nespresso. The only coffee machine we don’t expect to see on offer this Black Friday is the Oracle Jet, as this was only released in October 2024.

Lots of other major retailers that stock Sage also have Black Friday sales. They may have similar discounts to Sage, but it’s worth bearing in mind other perks like free accessories, loyalty schemes, or next-day delivery that might be included.

How we pick Sage coffee machine Black Friday deals

Our expert reviews team has years of experience working the biggest annual sales events to find the best deals. Throughout the year, we test and review dozens of products across different categories, and look to find deals on appliances we found impressive during testing. We’ve tested every coffee machine in this list to make sure that we’re only bringing you deals on appliances that are worth it.

There are a number of different things we look out for when selecting deals, like how much money the deal is saving and how much this is as a percentage of the original price — the best deals tend to be from 20 per cent off and upwards. With Sage’s coffee machines, it’s also worth considering the colour or finish that you’d like – as some are more likely to go on sale than others. For example, we see fewer sales on the chrome finish.
