This year marks the 40th anniversary of Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, A Belmond Hotel. Nestled in the idyllic Oxfordshire countryside, Le Manoir is the perfect place to retreat to enjoy gastronomy, gardens and the warmest welcome. Le Manoir sits proudly amongst 27 acres which includes the magnificent two-acre vegetable and herb garden that produces over 90 types of vegetables and 70 herbs.
Inside, there are 32 bedrooms and suites, each lovingly designed by Monsieur Blanc and inspired from his travels.
As Le Manoir celebrates its 40th year and maintaining its two Michelin Star status, Luke Selby returned to Le Manoir as Executive Head Chef after achieving his own Michelin Star. Returning to work with his mentor, Raymond Blanc OBE, Luke is back in the kitchens for the first time since starting his career at Le Manoir in 2009.
Together, Raymond and Luke have redefined Le Manoir’s classic dishes with a fresh, creative outlook while maintaining the restaurant and country house status as one of the very best in Europe. The menus rely on seasonal ingredients accompanied by a wonderful wine list to suit all.
Outside, guests can borrow Le Chameau boots and explore the gardens which include a vegetable and herb plot that feeds the kitchen for much of the year, as well as a Japanese Tea Garden and heritage orchards of unusual British species of fruit.
The Raymond Blanc Gardening School and The Raymond Blanc Cookery School, guided by the values of provenance and sustainability, imparts insider tips and expert advice in a relaxed and creative environment.
